5 Things To Remember On Your Wedding Day

On my wedding day, I had so many lists and notes of 'Do Not Forget' and 'Remember to Bring' that I felt like I needed to pack up everything I owned before I headed to the venue! Thankfully, everything we needed made it, but that stress inspired me put together these 5 items for you so you don't experience the same feeling.

Detail Photos Everyone loves gorgeous photos of all the details from your big day. If you know you want these shots, make sure to pack your jewelry, shoes, perfume, extra invitations, and any other small pieces you want to include. Also, confirm with your photographer and coordinator that you want these pictures, so that they make sure to work it into the timeline.

Makeup for Touchups

You're in for a loooooong day, and odds are your makeup was applied extra early for photos. Pack extras of your lip products, powder, and concealer for touchups throughout the day. You can even ask your makeup artist for recommendations or samples!

Marriage License

This. This. This. This is what makes you married! You, your partner, the officiant, and a witness (depending on the state/county) will need to sign this document. Don't forget to get it in the mail as soon as possible! Or, you can take it in person. Often a county can give you your marriage certificate the same day if you deliver the license in person.

The Rings

Okay, I know this one sounds obvious, but it had to be said! How awkward would it be if you were halfway through the ceremony and realize there are no rings to exchange?! As a coordinator, I always recommend bringing the rings with you to the venue, giving them to the photographer for detail photos, then giving them to the person who will present them during the ceremony. This is usually either the best man, ring barer, or officiant.

Dancing Shoes After anywhere between 3-6 hours in your heels, you will be SO ready to switch into something comfier! Recently, brides have been wearing their heels all the way through the first dance. I'll stash their comfy shoes under the sweetheart table for them to change into as soon as they want.

Hopefully these little reminders jog your memory & help you prepare for the big day!
